Sabrine Rodems is a winemaker in
Monterey County. She received her
Masters of Science in Viticulture and
Enology from UC Davis. Sabrine
splits her time between the lush
countryside in Monterey and her
garden apartment in San Francisco's
Mission District. "The best of both

and find that wine is not intimidating
and should not be intimidating. You
can learn a lot about wine in a short
amount of time, just from
connecting the dots between what
you smell or taste, and the word that
